Did you know?

Over 50% of planning applications are declared as invalid each year.

Local Planning Authorities have very strict application requirements and if these are not met, then your application will not be validated until the correct information is submitted. The reasons for an invalid application vary, however usually, the reason is down to missing or incorrect information.

Sometimes an Applicant will submit an application only to realise that they require a specialist report (for example a ground contamination assessment) or have missed a drawing.

These little surprises can cause big delays and can have cost implications if the Applicant has not factored in these additional costs.

Hestia Planning will ensure that the correct information is submitted first time to prevent your planning application being declared invalid.

We always conduct an initial site assessment to ensure that you know which reports and information are going to be needed from the onset. This means that there are no time delays or cost implications further on down the line.

Validation Checks

If you want to submit your own application, but want the reassurance that everything is correct, then for a small fee we can run through your application to ensure everything is there. Contact us to talk about our validation checks.

Planning Applications and Statements

There are 17 different types of consent that can be applied for, so it is no wonder that the planning process can get complicated. Each application will need to include various types of documentation and drawings – depending on the nature of the scheme and site. At Hestia Town Planning we can produce all planning related documents. We write and submit a variety of statements across a wide range of sectors, including: domestic, residential, commercial, infrastructure, retail, leisure and mixed use. If other specialist reports are required then we have a range of trusted specialists that we can recommend making the process as smooth and joined-up as possible.

See our dedicated Planning Applications and Planning Statements pages to learn more about how we can help.

A planning consultant provides a different service to your architect or surveyor.

If you are proposing a scheme of a more complex nature, or located in a sensitive location, it is often beneficial to engage the services of a planning consultant at an early stage in order to ensure that your scheme accords with planning policy, and has a design that will have a good prospect of success.

We can work with your existing team and this often provides a strong and robust planning package to ensure the best chance of success.

An initial meeting is informal and free – you will find us straight-talking and always willing to listen.
